Customer Review: Nice replacement!

After 7 years, I broke the carafe for my Braun coffee maker and the replacement was about $20, so for $15 more I decided to get the Black & Decker DCM2500B instead. A basic coffeemaker is all we needed, and this one works just fine for us. The best thing about this coffeemaker is the carafe because it does not drip/leak when you pour the coffee (which was my biggest complaint with the old Braun). The worst thing about it for me is the large "lid" on the top of the machine. I have to pull it almost completely out from under the cabinet in order to open the lid and pour in the water. (However, I already expected that because of another review I read before buying.) I also don't care for the bright red clock; I'd prefer blue/green or one that doesn't light up at all. These little complaints are not a big deal to me though. Overall I really like this coffeemaker! :)Customer Review: Good coffee -- Excellent value

We purchased this pot after watching the winning reviews it received on the show "Shopping Bags." Our expensive Cuisinart grind and brew pot started leaking after about 2 years and frankly it never made very tasty coffee. This pot makes very good coffee and is easy to use. The spout design is excellent. It pours easliy and does not drip or spill (problems we routinely had with the Cuisinart). Also, the water reservior has a large opening and is easy to pour water into (another problem we had with the Cuisinart). The coffee stays hot while the plate is on and the design of the lid keeps oxygen from ruining the flavor. Also, the pot is easy to clean. I've read reviews that suggest this pot won't last more than a year or two. However, at the price, we would have to go through over 5 of these pots in two years to cost as much as the Cuisinart cost us.Customer Review: Ahhh Coffee waiting for me

I have fallen in love with this coffee maker. I wake up ever morning to a hot pot of coffee waiting for me. I have read other reviews saying that they didn't really like this pot due to the pour lip and something about the coffee basket. I love the wide spout that the craft has and have never had any problems with this coffee maker. The only thing that I would have to say I don't like about it is that it has an auto shut off after two hours. I am a stay at home mom and drink coffee all morning so I do have to turn it back on half way through my morning. That's just me though. Easy to program and set up, it only took me around 2 minutes to pull it out of the package and get completely set up. I would recommend!Customer Review: Love it!

We are big coffee drinkers and have several pots a day. We've gone through many brands of coffeemakers of all prices and types, but have found the perfect one for us. Several months ago, we were flying 1200 miles from home and half-way there discovered we hadn't turned the coffee pot off! So, when getting a new pot, an automatic "turn off" was essential to us. It turns off in 2 hours... and if you want to continue heating the pot beyond that, just hit the on/off switch again. It has a wonderful pouring lip that never drips, is easy to fill and clean but. of course, the most important thing to us is it makes great coffee. We whole-heartedly recommend this Black and Decker Smartbrew Coffeemaker.Customer Review: Finally a dripless carafe!

The B&D Smartbrew coffee maker has proven to be a reliable standard fare drip coffee maker with timer. It makes a good pot of coffee consistently and easily for a great price - and that comes from a daily coffee drinker. It also looks fine in a kitchen with stainless+black appliances although it has no stainless finish on it - just black.
The REALLY GREAT THING about this coffee maker is that I no longer dribble coffee all over my countertop trying to pour a cup, or water all over the place trying to fill the maker. Hats off to the engineers at B&D for solving a problem that has plagued drip coffee makers since the beginning! Very happy with this buy!
