I ordered this product through amazon.com. bought it at a good price of $14.99.
This is a good product. What you get is a simple but effective drip system to brew your coffee. Don't expect this product to be equivalent in quality to some of the high priced coffee makers in the market. you get what you paid for.
General points:
--> Make sure you have coarsely ground(i.e.drip system suitable) cofee beans. otherwise you may find some ground in your coffee. I use Folgers and it works fine.
--> To clean...all you have to do is remove the filter and hold it under the tap upside down. and there goes all the residue down the drain...that simple.
--> The stainless cup has a plastic based inner lining...it may smell of plastic in the beginning(like mine did)...so, what I did was wash it a few times with hot water till that smell diminished. Now, I do not have any smell or taste of plastic(as was the complaint of some reviewers) in my coffee.
--> This coffee maker shuts off automatically after all the water pours into your cup. Other reviewers have complained that this mechanism doesn't work properly but I haven't faced any problem with it till now.
+ Very useful if you are the only coffee drinker in your home or office.
+ permanent coffee filter...so, no need of paper filters anymore.
+ Easy to clean.
+ brews pretty quickly...to give you coffee in abt 2-3 mins.
I would have liked this product even better if the opening on the lid of the cup had a mechanism to be locked so tht I can carry it around in my bag or something instead of holding the cup upright all the time. Also, better insulation of heat would have received high appreciation from me.
All in all, I liked this product. It's been only a few days since I purchased this product. I do not know how long the product will last. That only time will tell.

I absolutely love this coffee maker! I'm 20, a full time teacher's aid, and a part time student. I work with kids all day and go to classes at night...needless to say I'm usually beat during the day! I'm the only coffee drinker in my house so I didn't want to buy a 4 or 5 cup coffee maker, especially since I only drink it in the morning. I used to stop at a gas station before work and grab a coffee and not only was it wasting time but it was also burning a hole in my pocket. I started looking at Wal-Mart and Target for one cup coffee makers but nothing fit my need. I then went to Amazon, my favorite site, and found this jewel. I've had it since December 2010 and I love it! I usually make it half an hour before I leave for work because I don't like it hot and it's always a perfect temp. I use cold creamer and sugar and always give myself time to put it in before I leave. It says to add your creamer and everything before you make it but I don't like doing that. So far I haven't had any leaks, unless you consider it dripping a little after you take the cup out, but I could care less about that. I like the mesh filter but I could see how people might prefer getting paper filters because it does need to be cleaned after each use (obviously.) But that doesn't bother me much. I don't fill it up to the top because I don't drink much, just about half, but be sure to fill it a little more than you want with water because it does reduce a bit. Overall I've been very happy with it. You just pour the water into the back, put your coffee in the filter, put the cup under the "dripper" and press the button. I also love that it shuts off automatically, such a plus. I would definitely recommend this product to any college student or to someone who only drinks one cup a day or is the only coffee drinker in their house! Saw the reviews and decided since I drinks a few cups a day this was for me. I love the fact NO FILTER is needed.
I saw some people complain about it over flowing. There is a line that shows you how high to go. Now for some this may be fine if you don't use much MILK, the MILK must be added BEFORE brewing in the cup.
I suggest if using more than a few drops of milk, (I use a bit) so just add about a half inch less of water (A Half Inch below the line). You will have NO excess coffee on the lift what so ever!
The only problem I had was the lid, I actually cut my finger trying to OPEN the lid. I realized I didn't need to be doing this, simply use the tip of your thumb and flip the lid upward. I'm sure many did this anyways (I didn't) and I assume I made a straight forward procedure to something complex!
Hopefully no one else was doing what I was doing with the LID (on the cup), if they were and read this realize you don't need to PULL the lid off, you simply push your thumb upwards right where the hand meets the lid and it comes off super easy!
I also washed the cup before brewing so I cannot comment on a rubber taste, I know common sense says anything that is new and rubber, wash it before using it!
This is an excellent coffee maker, cannot beat the price, no changing filters ever, brews amazingly quick. It also keeps the coffee warm for a much LONGER time.
I must also add, you can just take it right off the coffee maker and drink, I was a bit skeptical about burning myself since it was freshly made but it works wonders, the perfect temperature never too HOT.
If you're a single person or the only person who drinks coffee, you owe it to yourself to get this! Thanks to everyone who wrote reviews on here as it's why I purchased this!

I have had this machine for five years now so I thought someone might like to here a long term review. Mine does not have a stainless cup, but my cup is tapered like this one.
Pros:
1) Brews 1 cup (I'm the only one who drinks it).
2) Quick, about 2 minutes to brew and 5 to finish dripping.
3) Easy to clean. I have rinsed the entire unit several times.
4) No trash. Comes with a permanent filter.
5) Filter cleans easily. Just tap out the coffee in the trash and rinse.
5) Can be used with a timer. See below for explanation.
6) Takes up very little space.
7) Can be used with other cups. As long as you don't overflow the reservoir and your cup will fit under it, the cup will work.
Cons:
1) It is gravity fed through the filter so 5 minutes may be too long for some.
2) Be sure to line up the exit spout with hole. Once you get it you will see, but if you don't you will have coffee all over your counter.
3) If you grind you coffee to fine, you will get coffee grinds on the inside of the machine. No big deal as you can rinse the unit off easily.
Timer:
Once you activate the unit it will run until the reservoir is empty. The only way to stop it is to unplug it. However, if you plug it back in it will pick up where it left of. If you activate it with it unplugged, it will start as soon as it is plugged in. Therefore, if you want coffee when you wake up, all you need is a wall timer (about $5 from many sources). Set the timer to activate in the morning when you want your coffee. Prepare the machine like normal, depressing the activation button. When the timer turns on in the morning the machine will begin brewing your coffee.

My sister gave me this coffee maker as a present and I've been using it now for a few weeks. I simply love it!
It is just designed really well. This is a perfect Coffeemaker for college students or single professionals who just want to brew a fast cup of coffee and do not need to brew a whole pot. Here are a few things that makes this thing so great.
Pros:
-Brews fast (about 2 to 3 minutes!) I think the water gets super-heated through a coil or something because it's amazing how fast it turns room temperature into hot steam!
-Re-usable filter means no more buying paper filters. This saves time and money. The filter is also dishwasher safe!
-You can control how much coffee to brew because however much water you put into the reservoir, that much water will be brewed into coffee! So, I usually just measure it out with my mug and pour it in.
-You can use this as a hot water dispenser for Tea too! Just put water in and 'brew' it without coffee in the filter! Hot boiling water in about 2-3 minutes!
-Affordable. For how great this thing works, this thing is well worth price!
Cons:
-Nada. I can't think of anything negative to say. Which is rare.
Conclusion:
This thing is a wonderful and affordable coffee maker. It gets the job done fast and efficiently without costing you an arm and a leg. Also, if you want to save even more money, this coffeemaker is also sold with a plastic mug instead of a 'stainless' steel one, which is a few bucks cheaper. Just look up the model number DCM18. This one is the DCM18S... I'm guessing the 'S' stands for 'stainless steel' edition! lol.
