Customer Review: I Love my new B&D Iron!

I have been using my new B&D iron for about a month and have no issues with it. The shot of steam is very strong and does a great job setting in creases on pants. The iron is big but I find it very easy to use - and there has not been any water spotting on my clothes. The cord is long to provide flexibility and the auto-off feature is great if you get interrupted. I'm as happy as you can be for ironing day. Customer Review: So far so good

I read a lot of reviews before I bought this iron. My Euro-pro iron with a separate tank quit emitting steam so I looked for a less expensive iron. This gives a great burst of steam and a lot of continuous steam. If you steam on "max" it will use a lot of water. I'm careful not to wrap the cord around the iron based on a couple of reviews that say this will cause a leak. I like the weight of it. Hopefully it will last more than the average two years that some reviewers reported is the case for most irons.Customer Review: Clothes iron

This was the second Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron iron I purchased from Amazon in a seven-day period. I returned the first one because the first sentence I read in the warranty/instructions told me that the information tag had to be on the iron cord for warranty work to be done. The information tag was missing.
When I called to get a replacement iron, the replacement unit was sent promptly and the financial transaction was correctly completed.
The information tag was also missing from the second iron. Is an information tag required to be on the iron cord for warranty work to be done?

I love this iron! It's difficult nowadays to find an iron with the weight and power to really get wrinkles out, especially with fabrics like cotton and linen. But this iron really does the job. I love the digital readout and the ready "beep" that tells you when the iron has reached the selected temperature. It is user-friendly, does a great job, and the automatic shut-off is a wonderful peace-of-mind feature for any of us who have ever left the house and then thought, "Did I shut off the iron???" (I look for this feature in any heat-producing item I buy.)
All in all, I cannot recommend this iron more highly. I'm a little leary about the reviews that said the iron only lasted them 6 months, and I'm hoping that won't be the case with mine. But for now I give it 5 stars!
