Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron

Customer Review: Best iron I ever purchased.
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this iron. It heats up in a very short amount of time. It is a wonderful product. It received excellent reviews in Consumer Reports and they were right on the money.

Customer Review: very good iron, great price on sale
Summary: 4 Stars

I seem to have gotten a one-day sale. For what I paid its a great deal. Its a little on the heavier side, but it feels firm and steady. I had a little water drip onto my cloth when I used the steam feature, but it wasn't too terrible. I haven't figured out how to use the vertical steam yet... the iron is a little heavy for me, but I guess that doesn't say much. It ironed pretty well.. considering how wrinkled my tablecloth was originally. It has certain preset settings (only 7) for different types of cloth, which limits its flexibility in temperature settings. The burst of steam is a short, quick, forceful burst. I used the cotton setting for my cotton tablecloth and found the heaviest creases from factory folding were hard to get out... but all in all I do think its a great iron. It warms up VERY quickly - much faster than irons Ive used in the past - has an auto-off setting. Beware that it uses a LOT of power - I blew my surge protector on the first use and the only other thing plugged into it was my small Dell laptop.

Customer Review: excellent iron - great value
Summary: 5 Stars

We loved its looks, functionality, and performance, especially for the price we paid. I would hate to pay twice as much or more for big name European products which are not even as good.

Customer Review: Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron
Summary: 5 Stars

I have always used a Rowanda iron until it's timely death. In researching irons I found better reviews of the Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron. I have not had it long but so far I'm quite impressed.

Customer Review: Really steams
Summary: 5 Stars

I have owned several Rowenta irons with a much higher price. This one really puts out the steam. I sew and having an iron that steams good is very important. If you are a seamstress I highly recommend this iron.
