I love this scale. The one I had before had a cup or a small flat surface to weigh on. It was also very difficult to read so I was never quite sure if I was measuring correctly. This scale leaves no room for guess work because of the digital read out. It also will weigh up to 6 1/2 lbs, which is awesome because my old one only measured to 1 lb. Another thing I love about it is that if I forget to turn it off, it will automatically shut off so it doesn't use all of the battery life. I love this scale! I use it for baking and weighing flour and other ingredients. It has a tare weight feature so you fill a container and weigh only the ingredients, minus the container weight. It has an auto-off so you don't waste batteries if you forget to turn it off. The base is plenty big enough to hold even large bowls. I use this scale multiple times a day and love it. It's small enough to fit easily in our limited counter space, and it's very easy to use. I especially like that I can place a plate or other container on the scale, "zero out" the weight, then add the food I want to weigh. I've also used it to weigh items for figuring out the postage. I'd highly recommend this scale.
