I've had this scale for over a year now, and I've never had any issues with it. It is very easy to use and I love the fact that I can always put a plate or a bowl on it and zero it out to be able to measure the food in the plate. It takes like 3 seconds for the scale to "warm up" so sometimes I put my plate on it and then turn the scale on and it's all zeroed out and ready for the food to be measured in the plate.
I truly love this item - it really opened my eyes about portion sizes. It's kind of sad but good to find out that your favorite mug actually is big enough for two whole cups of juice (and that's where those damn calories really add up!). It's a great item and I'm glad that I got this one as my very first food scale. (I just love the fact that you can use your own bowls/mugs/plates with it). It's also very useful in that you can change it to display grams or ounces.
Bottom line: I would definitely recommend this item and if my scale ever breaks (god forbid!), I would buy the same one again.
