First off, I have owned this particular Moka pot for about four years and I love it. But, and this a big "but", when you eventually have to replace the rubber gasket/seal ring - HOW DO YOU GET IT TO WORK PROPERLY AGAIN IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME? My friend has had to replace the rubber gasket twice and told me that it took forever (literally more than a month of daily use) for it to begin working properly again, and I have to admit that I was skeptical - well I'm not anymore as I recently replaced mine and am going through withdrawals as I wrestle and cajole a few precious drops out of it every morning. And I know it makes no logical sense for it not to work properly immediately, but it DOESN'T. Anyone with some insight into this would make me a very happy man if you knew a secret to solving this problem - Thanks!Customer Review: This is the one

Even if I had an extra $500 or $1,000 laying around for a good espresso maker, I'd still use this. I enjoy the process (I'm not big on a different gadget for each task. I have 2-3 favorite knives, 2-3 favorite pans, and a few other tools. No countertop littered with small appliances.), this is easy, and it spits out as good of an espresso shot as you're going to get at home. Getting anything more than this is just showing off. If you need a energy boost in just one cup of coffee, this product is calling your name! Seriously, one cup, will do the trick. Perfect for any morning...and ready in approximately 8 minutes on a medium-high burner. You'll never go back to drip coffee again...cup after cup after cup and so on. Either you're making espresso's or just plain ol' coffee, the Bialetti Moka Express should be on your list of "I want's". I got the 12-cup for when I have guests, after I'd happily used the 6-cup version for myself for about a year. The 12-cup is perfect for making 2 nice, full cups of coffee. I found the coffee to be the same high quality as the 6-cup size. It is more than twice as big as the 6-cup and the size makes it a bit more awkward to screw together or wash. I also think it takes a minute or two longer to brew than the 6-cup (over 10 minutes on medium heat).Customer Review: Bialetti single serve!

I have been using Bialetti stove top espresso makers for over 10 years. They continue to make a top quality product that makes a decent cup of espresso/coffee. My 2 year old threw out the filter by accident so it was time for a new one. I couldn't believe that one of the only places to have it in stock was Amazon (via Target no less). Even Bialetti was on backorder! The quality has improved over the past 10 years, but the general design remains the same. It still provides a wonderful ritual in the morning of adding water, coffee and threading the unit together. Run it at Medium heat (elec stove) and out percolates a great little brew for one! Enjoy!
