Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Bialetti 6799 Moka Express 3-Cup Stovetop Espresso MakerCustomer Review: Best Little Coffee Maker Summary: 5 Stars
The first one of these I had, I used for 25 years. I finally ended up letting it overheat on the stove, which doesn't seem to help the rubber gasket any. If you want really good espresso, this is the way to go. As long as I don't forget, and leave this one on the stove, it's probably the last one I'll need to buy in my lifetime. I'm using it every morning and thoroughly enjoying it. Carpe diem, et carpe Deo.
Customer Review: Amazingly simple, amazingly yummy espresso Summary: 5 Stars
I chose the small 3-cup Bialetti because I thought all I needed was enough espresso to make 1 or 2 servings for lattes. The 3-Cup makes about 4 shots. It only takes about 3 minutes for the water to boil and the espresso is totally yummy. But now I am thinking I want a larger one to use as a coffee maker! You can't go wrong with this affordable percolator and I should also mention that it is a breeze to clean.
Customer Review: A great product, especially for the money Summary: 5 Stars
This is the perfect one-person size percolator, and makes espresso on par with that of the coffee shop - all for only $20 (as compared to hundreds and even thousands of other machines). The device is simple to use, and simple to clean; and while it "only" makes one thing (i.e., espresso), it does so incredibly well. I am very pleased with my purchase, and highly recommend it.
Customer Review: Wonderful product! Summary: 5 Stars
We became spoiled with excellent coffee during a trip to Spain. After researching how the Spanish coffee is made, we learned that Spanish households all have a simple stovetop coffee maker like the Bialetti. So we ordered it and it is FANTASTIC! It is simple to use, sturdy, and makes the same wonderful coffee we enjoyed in Spain. And what a value for $20!!!!!!
Customer Review: Best kept secret Summary: 5 Stars
I really can't believe I didn't know about this thing before. I've had it for a few months now and retired my drip maker shortly after receiving it. I also bought the bigger stainless steel version. Love them both.
My two cents worth... buy a frother and mix the brew with equal amount of hot steamed milk with some froth. You will be in love too.
