After extended research and debating I gave in and purchased this little yet very awesome espresso maker. Though the end product is not 100% like that of the espresso you will recive in a corner cafe it's still close enough and delicious. I have been using this product at least once a day since I received it and it's hard to believe but every cup keeps getting better and better. When you recive yours brew 3 or 4 cups of espresso and toss it. Every cup after wards will be brewed to perfection. FYI never wash with soap. Just rinse with water to clean.

There is no better, simpler, stylish mechanism for making coffee.
Those in the know leave the top open wen brewing so the moisture and condensation do not run back down into the coffee. Also never let it boil.. turn off the heat as soon as done. Hands down...best coffee.
remember to get replacement rubber seals and filters once in a while
(once every 6 months if used often)..can be bought for $2-$3 at shops.
Really, very truly great coffee.
I use vac-packed Italian coffees (Kimbo/Segafredo) and Illy in a can.
You will love this.

The Bialetti Expresso Maker is the best one can buy. Unlike the many copies, made in China, this little gem makes the best coffee.
The pour spout is just the right shape so that it doesn't spill all over the counter when pouring into a cup. The weight of the metal allows the perfect brew. Unfortunately, and sadly, I have heard that the company, Bialetti, has recently closed its' doors, due mostly to the competition from the cheaper brands out on the market. Due also to the ignorance of the general public in seeking out the cheap stuff.

Stovetop Espresso is the best - I've tried other methods and find that this method produces the best taste. I love this device - very easy to clean and handle - I notice if I take if off the burner and pour it immediately it drips slightly our of the bottom water-holder. Letting it cool for about 20-30 seconds is the trick. My recommendation for those looking to buy one is to buy the larger device - this one doesn't really make 3 cups - it's more like 1 (to me), 2 stretching it. I had tried several expensive coffee machine hoping to find one that would make just a really great cup of coffee, fresh tasting, and HOT. I was curious about this coffee maker so bought the small one just to try it. We loved it so much I bought the largest one. When they say 12 cup - they are talking about an "expresso" size cup of coffee. I use regular Folgers coffee in this coffee maker, and it makes awesome coffee! You can make it as strong or as weak as you like. I highly recommend it.
