This does not give a tight seal to the tub/shower, but still works, go figure! I thought it might not work in one tub, due to a shelf/indent above the overflow valve, but it doesn't need to seal all the way around. My new apartment came with a garden tub, and this is the perfect thing to make the water go all the way to the top. The hole at the top of the device keeps the bath from running over. Basically, it switches the overflow from the bottom to the top, adding about 3-4 inches more water. :)Customer Review: Great Little Item

This is a great solution to get your baths a little deeper. It attaches easily to the side of the tub over the escutcheon that prevents the water overflow. It doesn't come off until you pull it off. I'm 65 years old and I can't believe I did not know this product existed before seeing it on Amazon.com. If you have an ordinary bathtub, you definitely need this item. I bought this product for my dad. Actually 4 of them because he had one and he had it for so long it was molding. He takes a bath everyday and has to have one and they are hard to to find in stores. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants the water as high in the tub as it'll go.
