Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Bar Keepers Friend Cookware Cleanser & Polish: 12 OZCustomer Review: One of two essentials for Stainless Cookware Summary: 5 Stars
There are two essentials for stainless cookware -- Bar Keeper's Friend and vinegar.
Bar Keeper's Friend will remove the dark stains and those bits of food that don't quite come off after you heat up water in your pan. It serves the function of a cleanser without incorporating the grittiness that can mar the finish of your stainless.
So, what's the vinegar for? Salt or other factors can create a chemical reaction with the stainless that may generate colors that bear a remarkable resemblance to the colors of an oil streak -- blue and pink stains that cannot be scrubbed off. But, put some cider vinegar into some water and, voila, those oil-streak colors vanish!
Between the two, you can keep your stainless looking factory fresh for years. YOu don't need to use both each time out -- possibly neither. The nature of what you're trying to eliminate from your pans will tell you which to use.
Customer Review: All I can say is WOW Summary: 5 Stars
I couldn't find this or any BKF products in any local stores, so we had to buy it online. I got it primarily because I have stainless steel cookware, and I was having issues with that annoying rainbow/discoloration on the insides of them. Some websites said my cookware was ruined, others recommended BKF. I am so happy I tried it! Not only does it take away the stainless discoloration effortlessly, but it also works on Corningware, Pyrex, and Corelle dishes. I had stains on my Corelle plates that had been there for years. It looked like rust. One swipe of the rag with some BKF (made into a paste) and those stains are history! I collect vintage Pyrex and it took some old, grey utensil marks right off the outside of one of my colored casserole dishes. My mom uses it to clean her porcelain sink and it works better than Soft Scrub, Bon Ami, or Comet. What a great cleaner from a long-established and reputable company!
Customer Review: Fantastic for Stainless Steel Cookware Summary: 5 Stars
What can I say? It works well and very little product goes a long way in putting the shine back in your stainless steel pots and pans. I bought a decent set of stainless cookware from Costco and did a little research on proper care for the pans and found Bar Keepers Friend highly recommended. No disappointment here whatsoever. It takes very little of this product to react with the stainless steel and I use the same wooden handled nylon scrub brush (Lodge) that I use for my cast iron pans and honestly you don't really need soap. Although I haven't scalded the inside edges of my cookware (oil residue), I have singed them brown and this takes it right off. OK, I'm going to stop going on and on about this powdered cleaner before I start hating myself.
Bottom line, very good stuff.

I used Bar Keeper Friend in the kitchen and bathroom.
I really like the job it does on the toilet ring.
I haven't used scouring pads, since I started using Bar Keepers.
I have a porcelain sink and the pots make marks, Bar Keepers cleans it right up.
I also, get rust spots around the ring of the drain and it takes that right out.
I had a Pyrex dish that had Pam stuck to it. I used Bar Keepers and it took it right off. I have used it to remove vanish from my hands, put in the drain to remove the sludge. You name it and I have used Bar Keepers Friend for it.
I don't spend money on alot of different products. I find that Bar Keeper is all that I need. It is amazing!!!
Customer Review: Works Like Magic Summary: 5 Stars
We recently invested in several expensive All-Clad stainless steel pots and pans and wanted to make sure we kept them clean and attractive, so we bought BKF based on the recommendations here. I was astonished at how well it works. From think fond to tiny drop marks, BKF removes every indication of the stains and leaves only a shiny surface which is as good as new. It is quite amazing as you really do not even have to scrub very hard and only requires a small amount of powder per pot. When compared to other cleaners, which we tested, there is no contest. Other soaps can clean the pan but still leave traces on or below the surface. BKF leaves the pan immaculate. We are glad we found this product.
