Customer Review: Toasters: They're Not Just for Toast Anymore

Heated bread fans listen up: I was once like you, content with just eating toast in the morning. Enter the Back to Basics TEM500PDWH Paula Deen Egg-and-Muffin Toaster. You no longer have to make the sacrifice you didn't know you were making.
I'll be honest. Before using it firsthand, it's not something I would ordinarily buy for myself. My roommate got it as a housewarming (breadwarming?) gift just before I moved in. Since then, it's been a part of the family.
As you may have gleaned from the reviews of my other bread-savvy colleagues here, in addition to toasting bread it also poaches or hard boils eggs. The nice part about this thing is that it'll poach the egg while toasting the bread, making the perfect egg sandwich in about 10 minutes. (The perfect amount of time to jump in the shower and come out to a warm breakfast). It toasts bread. It poaches eggs. There's not much more to say. Soon, you'll be scarfin' more ovum than you can shake a stick at.
As an aside, it sits on our counter next to George Foreman's Lean Mean Fat-Reducin' Grilling Machine. Yes, granted, in a boxing match George Foreman could totally take Paula Dean. In a breakfast cook off, however, I think ol' George would have a run for his money.
The only downside I can see is the price but think of it this way: you'd be hard-pressed to find another counter-top appliance endorsed by a Southern epicurean that is designed to cook the unfertilized discharge of the domesticated hen while simultaneously toasting two slices of pumpernickel bread.
Out of 5, I give this toaster 5 stars.
