Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Wonder WasherCustomer Review: Not So Easy to Use Summary: 1 StarsThis thing takes three half bucket fulls of water to wash a shirt that has been worn for a week. It also becomes noticeably slower with every extra shirt you put in for it to wash.
It takes about 3 times what many sellers imply which is that it's only going to take you 15 minutes to get a shirt (worn for a week) clean (when the water stops turning gray).
The problem is that the stupid thing spins in one direct for about 10 to 15 seconds, then spins in the other direction. There is about zero agitation.
It's also a annoyingly loud and is not the best thing for an apartment with walls you can hear though. It was also making my computer speakers crackle when I had it plugged in to the outlet opposite of the room with the computer speakers.
The timer knob is difficult to turn past 6 or 9 minutes (I forget which), and requires that you use either both hands or have a rubber glove on to turn the annoying thing.
You can wash items faster by holding them still against the swirl of the water or pulling them along in the opposite direction.
It also has somewhat poor balance (which effects it's efficiency because some of the motion that could be used to spin the clothes clean ends up moving the body of the whole machine instead. The top isn't flat so it's not easy to make it stay put by say putting some junk books on top of it or a rock.
This is not a good value for someone trying to save water or energy but if you are poor, very disabled (as in you cant stand up to use a regular top loading washer and have nothing to pull the clothes out of it with), always exhausted, don't want to hear your washing machine, or if you want some extra device nearby for a "quick" wash because you don't feel like walking to your washing machine in your big mansion (I wish).
The bucket is decent for washing things by hand but obviously $30+ for a big ugly plastic bucket is a rip off these days. Anyways if you liked my review Check out my blog and my book and bookshelf and game store links to the left of it. I could REALLY use the money.

Update: I don't know why but most of the resistance I encountered in turning the timing knob disappeared.

Customer Review: Wonder Washer Summary: 4 StarsWhen I first tried this I thought it was not going to be what I had wanted. But I was surprised at how good it washed my clothes. It is still not an easy task as you have to rinse and wring out everything. But it beats having to run to the laundramat so often. It does small loads like under garments just fine. I have even done sweats with no problem. One piece at a time.
Customer Review: does the job Summary: 4 StarsDoesn't work as well as a standard washer, but gets the job done if going to the laundromat isn't an option. Make sure to put the clothes in first, and then don't fill the water above the top fill line or you'll end up with a puddle. Washes very well. My only issues with it are its lack of rinse options (you have to do this by hand and wring it out yourself) and the clothes tend to get tangled together during the agitation process. Still very happy with this and would recommend it to anyone who can't install a regular washer or doesn't want to spend hours at the laundromat.
