Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Wonder Washer

Customer Review: Wonder Washer for Felting
Summary: 4 Stars

I read the reviews on Amazon, which generally did not give this little machine high marks. I would agree if I was using it for real laundry. But for those of you who knit and are part of the felting craze, this is a handy dandy little gizmo. You can throw your felting projects in with only a kitchen dish towel or two, and you don't have to use lingerie bags to hold the felting projects (in fact, the webbing on the lingerie bags gets twisted into the felt....so don't use them!!). Add a few drops of liquid dish detergent and set your timer. I found that it took longer to felt in the Wonder Washer than in my washing machine (with agitator), partly because you are warned not to put in water hotter than 122 degrees F. However, you use MUCH less water and soap, so running two loads if necessary is still a water savings. Plus...no lint in the water lines from your regular washing maching. I sure this is Greek to all non-knitters, but felters of the world....this is a good find.

Customer Review: A handy tool for the frugal user
Summary: 4 Stars

I read the reviews and purchased the Wonder Washer. It does a great job for it's price and portability. I have had it for several months and except for a problem with lint or something remaining on my clothes .. I love it! I have learned not to to put too many clothes in it at one time, just two pairs of pants or 3 T-shirts.. anything more won't get clean!

I wish there was some protection on the electrical cord. My WonderWasher fell off of a small table next to my wall outlet and the cord pulled loose from the washer.

I needed to hang the washed clothes over the bathtub to drain until I got a spin dryer.. If you can imagine putting a shirt or pair of pants in a bucket of water for 15 minutes.. what can you do with sopping wet clothes?

So.. except for a lint problem that I have not yet resolved.. I would recommend this to someone willing to do lots of small loads of laundry.

Customer Review: Good product considering the price
Summary: 4 Stars

This washer is not perfect, but considering its price and convenience, I still think it's a good investment. I've used it for 5 or 6 times and so far so good. Usually I will wash it for 15 mins and then pour out water, and put another bucket of clear water to rinse for another 10 mins. The clothes come out pretty clean and easy to rinse. This washer is not very stable during the washing so usually I will put it in the corner of the bathroom and pull a chair in the opening side to make sure it won't move or spin during the washing. Without this little washer, it's a headache for me to separate my laundry with different colors, different materials... Now I can do laundry whenever I want. It's really convenient!

I hope the future generation of portable washer can do rinse job, it will make life much easier. So far I didn't find any available one in current market.

Customer Review: Great little washer
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this to take on vacation with me, but used it at home first to see how it performed. It gets clothes REALLY clean. I had a pair of my daughters muddy socks, and washed one in my regular washing machine and one in the Wonder Washer. The one I washed in the Wonder Washer came out cleaner in a shorter amount of time. I put Wonder Washer in the (empty) bathtub b/c there can be some minor splashing when the machine is on. You also have to make sure the Wonder Washer tub is dry in the bottom or the whole tub will spin around instead of just the agitator and clothes.
Pros: Gets clothes clean, portable, holds a lot more than a sink and is easy to use.
Cons: Heavy when full of water, you still have to rinse the soap out of the clothes, tub lid flimsy, and you have to manually drain.
I would buy it again.

Customer Review: WONDERFUL !
Summary: 4 Stars

I was watching this item for some time and taking a look at the reviews. Most were positive. So I finally decided to purchase a Wonder Washer. it does have a small load capacity, but it is a Vicious little machine. It really gets a lot of turbulence and agitation going to clean the clothing items. I cleaned three dress shirts in 3 minutes. You have an option to extend the timer, but 3 minutes did it for me, and I was ready for another load. And the results are impressive. CLEAN. it put my hand washing technique to shame. Laundromats are a bore, so having this machine in house is a pleasant addition. It almost seems like I look forward to doing my next wash. I am impressed.
