Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Flying Alarm Clock

Customer Review: @#$%!!!!
Summary: 3 Stars

When this thing goes off, I'm sure it wakes up our next door neighbors too. Incredible wailing siren reminiscent of an air raid. Great for getting my kid out of bed though. Kinda tough putting the propeller back on when all you want to do is smash it after finally finding it under the bed. Wish that it was back lit all the time too as it's tough to see the digital screen in reg.light/dark.

Customer Review: Fun idea, but....
Summary: 3 Stars

This is a fun idea for an alarm clock, the problem for us has been that the propeller flies away and behind furniture where it then becomes hard to reach. Not something the manufacturers could fix, but it's the reason it hasn't been practical for us.

Customer Review: Disappointed.. no plug in. Only batteries.
Summary: 3 Stars

I was disappointed the clock didn't have a wall outlet plug in. It is only operated by batteries.

Customer Review: Flying Alarm Hassle
Summary: 2 Stars

This sounded so fun for my 9-yr old -- all i wanted was something other than the standard buzz of a radio/alarm clock.
Well, this IS unique!
Setting the time, let alone the alarm, is a nightmare. There are 5 buttons that have to be pushed in a specific order and/or combination to set or unset anything. For instance, to to set the alarm time you have to push set once, then mode 3 times, then up/down to set the time -- for each button pushed all kinds of unrelated dates and settings flash in the display. To set the alarm 'on' or 'off' you press mode+set simultaneously for 3 seconds -- but then the darned thing goes off anyway regardless. Who wants an alarm clock where you have to keep the directions?

And, after all that effort (assuming you can figure it out!) the take-off helicopter sound is so light there is no way it would wake up a sleeping human.
The helicopter blades are fun when they launch, but really only goes about 2 feet in the air then drop right back down -- don't really 'fly around the room' as advertised.

Was definitely gullible on this one.

Customer Review: Excellent at waking you up for a week before breaking
Summary: 2 Stars

I love this alarm clock. It's the only alarm clock to succeed in waking me up. The propeller does fly off in different directions and the alarm is extremely loud.

However, I think it lasted two weeks before breaking. The other reviews are right. Too much pressure breaks this alarm clock fast. It's very, very fragile. Considering it's wailing siren, and your dimly awake brain when you use it, I'm surprised this thing lasted two weeks.

It's very poorly made. Avoid. I wish I'd read the reviews on Amazon before buying one. I bought it elsewhere. Now I'm shopping for another alarm clock.
