The projector serves its purpose. I needed to make some party decorations, so I enlarged Mario, Luigi, and a piranha plant on poster board. The light wasn't super bright, but they still came out well. The plastic is cheap, and it gets a little warm, but I think this was the cheapest one I found. There was a little issue with the company that I ordered it from (TCP Global Corp). I was worried after I read some of the comments about them, but it was too late by then. I still hadn't received shipping information about the projector by the time the first day in the estimated shipping date range came. I called and they had never received the order, but they did bill me. It turned out that there was a "glitch," and I wasn't the only one it happened to. They were very nice and sent it right out. I received it about 2 or 3 days after calling. Overall, I would recommend it for the price (about $39.00).

The Tracer Jr is an ideal art, design and pattern projector for the beginning artist or crafter. It weighs only 2 lbs. but is made in the U.S. of very sturdy materials by Artograph, a well known manufacturer of projectors and lightboxes since 1947 and is warranted for 5 years. It will enlarge flat art or small 3-D objects such as coins, jewelry, etc. onto a vertical surface up to 4 times at 40 inches or up to an impressive 10 times at 7.3 feet. It handles items up to 3-1/2 inches square but larger objects can be projected in sections. Light is provided from an energy-efficient, 23 watt, compact flourescent bulb that is rated to 8000 hours and has a brightness of 1200 lumens. Overall, the Tracer Jr measures 9" long, 8" high and 4-1/2" wide and is equipped with a 6 ft. power cord and rocker-type on-off switch. Safe and easy to use, it is U.L. listed and is ready to use out of the box. Recommended for ages 12 and up or with adult supervision.
