Okay, so I know what you are thinking about these glasses- they seem completly impractical for coctail drinks. I thought the same thing when I recieved them as a gift (my friend knew how much I liked appletinis, and thought that these glasses would be fun to use, as well as keep my drink cold). While they do keep your drink cold, it seems silly to have to find the 'chilling bowl' every time you want to set your glass down. However I have found that these glasses are perfect for shrimp coctails. They keep the shrimp cool, and the bottom of the glass holds the perfect amount of coctail sauce. I love these so much that I went out and bought additional sets, for when I throw dinner parties, or have holiday dinners with the family. They are a practical way of serving shrimp, and they look fabulous at each place setting.
