Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of ArchiTEC The Gripper Non-Slip Cutting BoardCustomer Review: Love IT!!!! Love it!!! Summary: 5 StarsHi, I have cut myself a bazillion times using cutting boards without grip, this solves the problem! I always used something under the cutting board to make it not slide, but it was hard to wash. Now, it is all one piece, it can be put in the dishwasher..excellent, safe cutting surface!!
I bought on in every size and threw out all my other cutting boards!
Customer Review: Not so great Summary: 3 StarsI had high hopes for this cutting board as it came recommended in the Cook's Illustrated (usually a trusted source). The board was supposed to be dishwasher safe, but I think it is not. After first wash it warped slightly, which prevents the little rubber feet from sticking to a surface, which in turn makes the non-slip function of this board disappear. It is a bit disappointing.
Customer Review: Unimpressed Summary: 3 StarsI bought this cutting board because of a rave review in Cook's Illustrated magazine. Thinking it would really grip to my counter top, I was rather disappointed in the results. The problem is that the board and especially the suction cups themselves are too rigid. This means that unless your counter is perfectly flat, the board won't grab as well as you'd like. Hopefully someone will figure this out and make a cutting board with flexible suction cups. Until then, this board is only so-so.
Customer Review: Best one yet Summary: 5 StarsI use this always except for meat. I got the silicone ones with pictures on it to stop cross contamination. Buy this.
Customer Review: Great boards, they will warp in the dishwasher over time Summary: 4 StarsI agree with the other reviewer. I have four boards that I use for color coding (red for meat, yellow for poultry, green for produce, blue for fish...) My yellow one warped over time in the dishwasher. To be fair, I've had the board for more than a year and it gets a lot of use. But be advised that regular dishwasher use can damage the boards, requiring replacement. I'm going to start handwashing mine as a general rule, and putting them in the dishwasher only when they get thoroughly messy and I think they need to be sterilized.
