My wife researched various water systems, and we chose the Aquasana shower and kitchen filtration systems. Both of them worked well at first, and the water was noticeably improved. the shower filter cartridge soon developed a pinhole leak in the side of the cartridge which happened to spray you right in the face. There is a lot of pressure in the filter, but this kind of manufacturing defect is pretty much inexcusable. I am about to replace the filter, and with some luck, it will turn out the defective one was an exception, but be warned, quality control is an issue.
