Customer Review: Could Not Ask for Better Water

I have had this unit for almost 2 months now. I run it hard the first 2 weeks, almost non-stop. I have 2 3 1/2 gallon PBA free containers that the water goes to after the process. This is my take on the distiller.
Pros,
1/4 the price of similar distiller.
Very easy to use, if you can fill the container from sink, walk to the distiller, slide in, push button your in for a gallon of water 4 1/2 hrs later.
Electrical consumption is consistently 2.8 to 2.9 KW-h and my cost after tax per KW is 9 cents so it is costing me 26 cents per gallon of distilled water in electricity.
You can for $35 purchase the PBA free reservoir from (Waterwise 9000 Countertop Distiller) if you choose and your cost is still way cheaper.
The active charcoal/mineral cup that you are supposed to use for 20 gallons before replacing is very expensive. $115 for 6 of them, or $35 for 6 from the above mentioned and they fit the same, or you can for pennies purchase the aquarium grade active charcoal (which is all the active ingredient in those cups) and pop out the screen on the one cup they send you after 35 uses (which is what I have done without any change in taste) before I replaced the active charcoal, clean and rinse, add new charcoal and run water on till the dust is gone, pop back the plastic screen and you are back in business for another 30 (at least) gallons at the cost of 35 cents of active charcoal.
Did I say the water is the best I've had.
Cons,
It will slightly add some degrees of temp to the room you use it in. I just use it in a spare bedroom (air vents closed) since I don't need to cool that room when not is use, keep door shut and don't bother till it is time to get the water and refill.
If you happen to be a PBA concerned person, I'm sure the Waterwise 9000 Countertop Distiller for $400 or a comparable model will make you happy.
