I love this scale! It's lightweight, compact, and incredibly accurate! I was weighing some materials in the lab after I first received it a few weeks ago, and I noticed that the numbers kept fluctuating up and down... I thought something might have been wrong with my scale, but then I noticed that it was my breath that was causing the changes! The scale is so sensitive that it picked up the slight pressure changes caused by my exhalations - very nice. I am very pleased with my purchase. This is an ideal scale for coin collectors, jewelry or any need to weigh small items under 100 grams. I used to work in an engineering lab this has a real nice instrument grade feel it is not a toy. At reasonable price you can weigh to 0.01 gram other pocket scales only weigh to 0.1 gram. Has Gram, OZ, Carat, Grain and tare weight modes very easy to use and portable. Don't forget to order the 100 gram calibration weight also. You will not regret this purchase.Customer Review: great scale

this little scale is great for the price. unbeatable actually. I have had good experiences with american weigh in the past and this is no different. I have had this for about a month and everything is in working order. it is off on nickels (supposed to be 5 grams, shows up about 4.96) however for my needs, that is fine. i have a 100 gram weight and it shows that as 99.99. so obviously it is fairly accurate. for $13 who cal complain? not me. great deal!Customer Review: Great Little Pocket Scale

I was looking for a pocket scale that was accurate to within +/-.001g, however, they are very difficult to come by. So, I got the next best thing -- .01g. Precious gems and metals require extremely accurate weight measurement. I was very pleasantly surprised by the accuracy, and at the low price, I was expecting to pay much more. I bought this to weigh polymer clay for forming beads. It's very sensitive, it can detect a small scrap of plastic wrap. It has a tare function if you need to use a piece of paper as a carrier for what you are weighing. The actual scale plate is small (2 1/2 by 3 inches), and the weight limit (100 grams) is also small,so it cannot handle a large object. You could weigh letters, but not packages. Very easy to use.
