Customer Review: Heavyweight, absorbent, but not so soft after washing

These enormous bath sheets, labeled with Amazon's own Pinzon brand name, are a delight to step into after a shower, although, after laundering, the feel is more dense than soft. After just one washing, they feel almost like a bath mat, but thicker. The terry loops are short and tightly packed, resulting in a towel that weighs a ton and that whisks water quickly away from the surface. Unlike other towels I've bought over the years, these don't shed tons of fibers that stick to my skin or clog my dryer's lint filter. The last, super soft towels I bought did just that -- and I had to be careful drying my hands before putting in my contacts.
Although I wish these bath sheets were a tad softer, I would buy more in the future without hesitation. I get instant, dry warmth when I step into one.

I purchased these towels to go with our recently remodeled bathroom. The color is perfect and this towel sucks up water like a pop up sponge! I washed these towels before using. They were in the drier when I pulled one out for my morning shower. The towel was slightly damp, but I used it anyway. It was amazing how it soaked up the water from my skin versus just pushing the water around. These towels did NOT de-fuzz like some I have purchased. The normal bath size is huge, and I know my husband will enjoy the bath sheet when it arrives. Nice job Amazon! I'll be back for more of these towels!Customer Review: 820 Gram bath towel

This is a very substantial well made towel, the kind you find in top rated hotels. It gets better after a few washings. Don't use fabric softner or dryer sheets. Great value, and well worth the money!!

Amazingly thick and luxurious and absorbent - just as described in the text. Beautiful color (brick), especially throughout the holidays - but fine for year-round as well. I washed them before using, and I'm glad I read one person's recommendation about cleaning the dryer filter at least once during drying. They are so thick, it still took a long time to dry. Would order in spa-type light color if I had any more room for linens!
