Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Pinzon 5-9-Inch Pasta Maker

Customer Review: save your money
Summary: 1 Stars

If I could rate this product it would be BELOW one star! I've tried two of them, the first one the wider noodle side broke half way thru a batch of noodles. Even though the flat roller side worked... the gears on the wider noodle jammed. Plus the wooden handle also broke! Returning it and getting the second one. BOOM, same problem. The flat roller works, the skinny noodle cutter works, just NOT the wider noodle cutter (the reason I WANTED a pasta maker in the first place).

Amazon was VERY good about returning the defective maker. So I would rate Amazon's customer service trying to solve this problem a 5 star. Just would NOT, NOT recommend this individual product.

Save your money. I've heard so many people that have bought other pasta makers with no problems... bottom line, you get what you pay for.

Customer Review: I like it!
Summary: 5 Stars

It works well. I like it! If the noodles stick, you can add more and more flour to the dough until noodles can be cut well.

Customer Review: Poor quality

Broke after four uses. The cutter where not tracking correctly. Don't waste your money.

Customer Review: It doesn't work well
Summary: 2 Stars

Since I bought the pasta machine, I just used twice. It doesn't work well like introducation. Firstly, when it makes noodle, it cann't seperate each other and always stick together. It is horrible to me. Since then I never use it.

Customer Review: It's worth the Price
Summary: 4 Stars

I love pasta, but the idea of making my own always filled me with a sense of fear and foreboding. I can't even make a pie crust, and my pancakes are hit-or-miss. And it's so easy to head to the nearest grocery store and pick up a package, right? This little machine made some of the best pasta I've ever had.

Understand, there is a lot of work to it. Making the dough is simple, but takes some real kneading. This machine comes with a crank handle, so you have to crank with one hand, while guiding the pasta dough in with the other, and guiding the rolled or cut pasta with your third hand. Only have two? Yeah, me, too. It's a little tricky, but worth the effort. Just don't expect it to be like a pasta robot.

This is my first pasta machine. It isn't designed for use by chefs or in a restaurant. It's a low-priced, functional gadget, made for the home chef who wants to take it up a notch, and is willing to make the effort. Don't expect perfect results the first time. Maybe not ever. The cutters didn't entirely cut through the pasta, leaving me some cleanup work to do by hand. For what I paid, it was worth it.
