This is my first purchase of high end cookware and I must say it's worth the money. This cookware is nothing I ever owned before. The copper core retains heat resulting in the food heating up quickly. I was so pleased with this pan that I purchased the 10 piece set. Not only are these pans very well made, they are also made here in the US.
Description of All-Clad Copper-Core Sauce Pan
Versatile for small-size or family-size quantities of vegetables, rice, eggs, or soup. With deep, straight sides and a perfectly flat bottom, this pan is ideal for simmering sauces, reducing stock, or other tasks that require slow cooking over low heat. Sizes include: 1.5-, 2-, 3- and 4-quart.The ultimate in cookware, this All-Clad? premiere line features the patented Copper-CoreT five-ply bonded design with a thick copper center core to maximize heat conductivity. The copper ply is bonded to aluminum to enhance heat distribution while reducing weight. The bonded exterior and interior layers are highest-quality stainless-steel, providing the ideal cooking surface, ease of cleaning, extreme durability and aesthetic appeal.
