Customer Review: Best Humidifer ever, but a little overpriced

This puts out amazing amounts of humidity. Quiet, clean and lots of options. This does exactly what a 20 dollar decorative fog machine appears to do though so it feels overpriced. I use a Culligan water filter so it should extend the life of the filter that comes with the unit. I will probably buy another, but hoping for a sale.

We love this so much I am now buying a second one. I am sick of our old Vick's Perma-wick which puts out little humidity compared to this.
EDIT 2 Month later:
I am now experiencing the White Dust problem. My furnace filters are clogging in 1 week because of it. Going to buy the Demineralization catrdige but geez, I only fill these with purified water from a culligan water filter.

After reading some of the bad reviews I was worried about getting this unit, but after I bought it and used it, I found out that most of the bad reviews were a result of not reading the instructions and not understanding how humidity works during the winter. This unit can definitely keep your room at 35% humidity levels when the temperature outside is below 30 (any higher humidity level and your windows and walls would be dripping with water due to condensation). My unit has lasted 3 years so far. I change the cartridge once a season ($12.50). As with all humidifiers you have to clean them. This one is no different. It's a bit pricy, but it has worked better than anything else I've ever tried.Customer Review: Unbelievable

After countless nights of interupted sleep, I now wake refreshed. Other reviews helped me to choose this product. I chose the 7135 model over the 7133 for the added features, and am glad I did. The sleep mode is great. I am a light sleeper, but this unit is extremely quiet. The resevoir does need to be filled each day, but that is one of the reasons I purchased a portable unit in addition to my whole house humidifier---adding extra moisture in my bedroom. It was simply too dry. My husband, the buzz saw, snores much less now and is a lot quieter since purchasing the Air-O-Swiss. Thanks to all who gave this unit 5 stars. I've owned this humidifier for a year now. It works great. The humidistat works better than others, but seems to read 5% to 10% high when compared to calibrated digital humidistats in several rooms. We use only distilled or reverse osmosis (RO) water to fill the tank. This keeps the unit clean inside and prolongs it's life. I've never had any problems with white dust that others mention. This is a quality engineered product and I am thankful for all the features. I've owned many other humidifiers and this is by far the best. I wish they would make a larger console version for the whole house or several rooms. Great Product.Customer Review: If 6 stars were an option, I would rate it 6!

Best humidifier I have ever owned. I have used 2 different versions of the Vicks' humidifiers and this is by far the best. You get what you pay for. I am able to breath better at night. I love how you can set the humidity. We use the warmer option, so that the room does not get cold at night from the mist. Most importantly, it shuts off automatically once it reaches the humidity set, and will turn on automatically when the humidity drops. Lastly, you can set a timer off, so that it will shut off in the morning. Energy saver as well as healthier, peaceful nights' sleep! In fact, we are going to purchase another one!
