I ordered this unit after reading various reviews online, to replace an older Honeywell humidifier in my children's room. It is exactly as promised; it does its work quickly and effectively, generating a fine mist with no residue. It requires little maintenance compared with standard, filter humidifiers and it allows the user to control not only the humidity level but also the rate by which it reaches that level. My only complaint? It is TOO QUIET! My older, noisier machine served also as a white-noise system to help my children sleep. Now, I have to go out and buy a real white noise machine. I bought this after reading a review of vaporizers / humidifiers in Good Housekeeping magazine, http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/product-testing/reviews-tests/appliances-electronics/best-humidifiers. This Air O Swiss model is different than the one recommended by GH, but it is AWESOME.
It's a cold mist, so it's safe for kids / pets; I only need to fill it once a day; it is designed so that it won't grow mold or harbor germs / viruses; very fine mist & leaves no powdery residue. VERY EASY to USE! AWESOME!
BONUS -- much lower energy costs than other humidifiers / vaporizers AND much more effective.

i went to walmart and bought a $40 humidifier thinking that all humidifiers are the same. after the third time of returning the $40 pieces of crap i found this wonderful product. this humidifier is wonderful for daysleepers. the first time that i turned it on i thought that it was broke until i saw the mist rolling out the top. COMPLETELY QUIET!! i love the fact that it has a humidity control. you can set it as low or as high as you want it. the only downfall is if you turn the setting all the way up it will burn through the tank of water in about 8-10 hours.Customer Review: Workhorse Humidifier

Got this humidifier when I got a wood pellet stove to heat my house.
The humidifier has not been off since I got it about two months ago. A real workhorse! TOTALLY silent too! I can adjust the humidity level with a dial and I can adjust the amount of "humidity" the humidifier is putting into the room. Both nice features. I looked at many, glad I got this one!

Read prior reviews, and decided on this product. Glad I did! Works great and is extremely quiet... actually can't hear it at all. My girlfriend decided to get one for her place after seeing how quiet and effective it is. Puts out a lot of cool mist. On high mist setting, you will need to refill 1-2 days, but easy to do. Highly recommend.
