I purchased the Air King when my old Patton bit the dust. The Air King is actaully more effective at moving a lot of air. It's great in that respect. But when reading some other reviews prior to purchase, I got the impression it was going to be a guiet fan. Relative to the Patton, it's not.

Powerful enough to keep even the far reaches of the room nice and cool, this fan stands above the rest. Additionally, it pivots back and forth at three different speeds for optimal temperature control and comfort. The airflow measures 3190 CFM on high, 2970 CFM on medium and 2660 CFM on low. The 1/6 HP motor features maintenance-free permanent lubrication and a permanent split capacitor. It is controlled by a rear-mounted, rotary control switch that is easy to access and responsive to touch. The blade, guard, and mounts are finished with powder-coated steel for long-lasting durability and corrosion resistance. Included with this product is a 9-foot, 3-conductor, SJT-type power cord, built to reach across the room so you'll never come up just short of the doorway. For safety's sake this fan complies with all UL and OSHA regulations. It has 18-inch blades and measures 22-by-9.6875-by-22-inches (LxWxH) and weighs 21.4 pounds.
