Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Aerolatte To Go, Milk Frother, Black

Customer Review: so far a keeper
Summary: 5 Stars

I read the reviews, and I was cautious, but so far it is a neat little unit (a couple of weeks of using it each day). My last frother died a few weeks back, and I wanted a quality unit with some power. It looks like I found it. It is just plastic, but the end is metal, and it has so much power I was able to make some meringue out of an egg white the other day (it takes a really high speed to do this). The unit is very quiet and relatively smooth when it is on. I don't know how long the batteries will last (the directions say 120 uses). It all depends on how long you operate the thing each time you use it. It even comes with a nice plastic case. Anyway, it has been a good unit for me, so far.

Customer Review: I loved it, now I really miss it!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had my Aerolatte for 21/2 years. I use it everyday and have taken it on holiday with me. It just died and I really miss it. Now that I've found it on Amazon I shall order a new one immediately.

One thing, it is limited in it's uses. For frothing milk great! for beating eggs, it struggles (too thick), unless you beat the eggs first, then use it to froth the eggs more. Mayonnaise is too thick for it's little motor, but for emulsifying a viniagrette it's great. Like I said I love it and I cannot do without it for my morning latte/cappuccino. I don't even bother with my Krups capuccino maker any more; too much cleanup and takes too long.

Customer Review: Great little tool
Summary: 5 Stars

I just got the Aerolatte this morning and am blown away with it. Everyone should have one for mixing, and foaming milk. this helped produce the perfect cup of coffee in the kitchen, I ordered a French Coffee Press with it. Boiled the water, grinded the beans medium grind then steeped the beans and water for 4 mins. Poured it in the cup then used the aerolatte to foam the milk. Poured it in and created a cup of coffee that was so smooth it would go with any meal. the milk added such an extra creamy dynamic to my morning cup. I thoroughly enjoy this little device, it has power to spare! Be sure to put it back in the case after using it.

Customer Review: Aerolatte works great
Summary: 5 Stars

I was using a small espresso maker with a steam frother, and I held off on buying an Aerolatte. I finally got one and I'm sorry I waited. It works great - much better than the steamer! It's really important to heat the milk which could be problematic if you don't have a microwave oven or don't want to heat milk on a range top (I wouldn't) but I just heat my half-and-half in a little pitcher in the microwave while making my coffee, then Aerolatte it which is a lot of fun, and the result is awesome. I won't ever use my espresso maker again; I much prefer coffee from my Cuisinart drip coffee maker with frothed milk.

Customer Review: best portable frother available
Summary: 5 Stars

I own several portable frothers and give them to friends and family as gifts, and this is the best. It has a very sturdy metal stem, much heftier than other frothers, and a powerful motor. Unlike other frothers I found this is sturdy and strong enough to whip liquid egg whites (though not whole eggs). It has an easy to open battery compartment and replacing batteries is easy. ( I use rechargeables).

The only drawback is the price. If you simply want to froth milk, you can buy a lot less sturdy milk frother, with a more difficult to open battery compartment, at Ikea, for I believe, $2.99.
