This little gadget works as well as it says it does.
The design is nice and streamlined, it takes up hardly any space at all in the drawer.
I've just rinsed it with hot water after each use and this is all the cleaning it appears to need.
For some reason reading many reviews left me wondering if it would froth hot milk. I have used this to froth cold milk, warm milk, hot milk, whole milk, 1% milk, all frothed in mere seconds.
This, along with my bialetti moka maker, produce a very decent cappuccino.
I don't know how long the batteries will last, but a couple batteries now and then are not going to be a deal breaker on this item, in my opinion.
Buy with confidence, and frankly for the price you cannot go wrong.

I cannot stop telling people about this frother. It has totally changed my experience with drinking coffee at home.
I didn't want to go the route of steaming milk or buying a $[...] espresso maker. This has been a *VERY* quick way to make foam for a latte. I usually mix some milk with a shot of a sugar-free syrup, heat it in the microwave on the "beverage" setting, and then use the frother for about 10-20 seconds. I pour my coffee/espresso through it and voila! The Poor Man's Latté (as another reviewer described it). Is it the same experience? No. But it's a great experience nevertheless.
I think the tradeoff of time savings (easy to clean and use) and price (cheap!) make this a no-brainer. Highly recommended to anyone who likes lattés!

I LOVE this thing! My original one lasted a good three years before it finally gave out. I held a private little memorial, mourned it deeply, and immediately bought this newer Aerolatte 5 model with the satin finish. It feels just a little heavier than the older model, but both were reasonably priced. Actually this satin finish Aerolatte 5 model is down a couple bucks from when I recently bought mine. But hey, I love it so much I can't bring myself to care! Frothing some milk in the microwave ahead of time makes for a fantastic latte. Sometimes I don't even bother. I just add some milk to my coffee and use the Aerolatte to mix it and I still get a little bit of that frothy feel on top. I also use it to whip cream from my whipping cream carton, for hot chocolate and desserts.Customer Review: Perfect little monster

This item began working with its included batteries** immediately upon my rinsing it in running hot water to make sure it was free of dust, etc., and after I sort of blotted it dry. I use it for stirring milkshakes, caffe latte in the morning and much more. I call it the little monster because it sometimes gets over-excited and wants to chase the froth out of the cup!
The frother is lightweight and feels comfortable in my hands, and if you are looking for a wedding-shower gift, this item would be perfect. I have also recommended it to my garden club as an occasional door prize: it's an inexpensive item and has more kitchen uses that are listed on aerolatte.com. I highly recommend it.
**Two AA alkaline batteries are included.

Aerolatte deserves a TEN!! 10 stars!!! AAAA+++++ Very easy to use, delivers the BEST froth, much better than any machine. I have bot 2 expresso machines one of which was a Starbux! Very disappointed in the froth with Starbux. Aerolatte delivers VOLUMES of RICH, SATIN, FROTH. Takes only a minute to heat the milk in the microwave, doesn't need to be extremely hot, use the Aerolatte for a minute or 2 in the heated milk and for 1/4 cup of milk or less it will give you at least 2-3 times the froth!! GREAT PRODUCT! I LOVE IT!!!
The only improvements would be something that's not battery operated and if it came with a container to heat the milk, but overall I am extremely pleased. For $15 vs over $200 for an expresso machine, it's GREAT!!
