Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Aerolatte Milk Frother, SatinCustomer Review: Only had for two days... Summary: 5 Stars
This thing is awesome. Purchased mainly to help the wife and I curb our Starbuck's addiction. I own about 6 coffee/espresso makers including a $1,400.00 DeLonghi but always loathed making the froth. Not anymore. I am a frothing wizard. The Aerolatte® Aerolatte Milk Frother, Satin Finish does it's job very well. It makes froth. Mega froth. Super froth. Too much froth. I feel sick in my tummy from froth. I have made froth with whole milk, 2%, 1% and skim. All work well. Be forewarned: Frothing is addicting. I found myself frothing the milk in my baby's bottle and he began burping so I had to make him another bottle. Can't comment on build quality or longevity but with a 5 year warranty and a price this low, how can you go wrong? Highly recommend. ONLY downside - yep, like most products in the U.S., it's made in China. Anyone want some froth? Hiyaaaaahh!
Customer Review: SUPERB Summary: 5 Stars
I bought a Mr. Coffee Cappucino maker which worked just fine but clean up was more detailed than expected as each time it was used, you had to empty the tray underneath, clean the frother, wash the glasses and pitcher. I saw this on Amazon and also, my Grandson that is a student at WVU wanted one, so I ordered myself one also. Let me say, this is far superior to the frother on the Cappuccino maker and my Grandson, says if he had to choose, it would be this frother. Here is an EXCELLENT RECIPE:
1/2 MUG OF HOT WATER
4 TSP. OF CAPPUCCINO- VICTORIAN INN (SOLD BY AMAZON)- i PREFER THE HAZELNUT AND THE ENGLISH TOFFEE
1/2 TSP. INSTANT ESPRESSO COFFEE (MEDAGLIA D'ORO- IS A GOOD BRAND)
3 TSP. COGNAC- HENNESSY VERY SPECIAL COGNAC IS A VERY GOOD.
HEAT 1/3 MUG OF 1% MILK IN THE MICROWAVE, AND USE THE FROTHER TO BRING FORTH A GOOD FROTH, ABOUT 45 SECONDS. ADD TO THE CAPPUCCINO. DELICIOUS AND RELAXING.
Customer Review: Best product "since sliced bread"! Summary: 5 Stars
This milk frother is A-1 perfect. It's SO fast, and actually fun to use. No mess, no steam, and no noise; absolutely silent. I think it's important to have a little stainless steel frothing pitcher, which I happened to have before I bought the Aerolatte. It keeps the milk really cold while it's being frothed. I use 2% milk, artificial sweetener, and a little vanilla powder. I take four pills every morning with my frothed milk, and what used to be a chore, i.e., flossing my teeth, is now a pleasure. I also use my frother for what it was intended: making heaps of tasty foam to put on top of a cup of coffee. A fast shake of cinnamon, and voila!
I think Aerolatte has missed the boat regarding marketing, though. A 5-year-old child would be able to handle the Aerolatte without a problem once they're shown how---and then "eating" 8 oz. of frothed milk with a spoon would immediately get rid of "DRINK YOUR MILK, JANIE/JOHNNY!"
Customer Review: Works great, amazing value for money! Summary: 5 Stars
My husband and I LOVE this frother. I didn't have very high expectations when ordering (just needed a fourth item for the '4 for 3' deal). But this thing rocks! We microwaved half a mug of milk for about a minute, reaching 150F. Then used the frother and bingo! The perfect froth I've seen! Then when we poured the coffee through, the frothed milk rose to the top and there were peaks. (Just like when you beat egg whites.) Sprinkle a bit of cocoa or cinamon and amazing coffee! Goodbye, Starbucks! We also used it when making hot chocolate for my very fussy three year old (topped with colored sprinkles) and she loved it! I really like that we can give the same effect as with whipped cream without the calories! It does use up a lot of batteries (nothing like the kids' toys though) and if the batteries start getting low, the froth doesn't peak as much. The best $15 I've spent recently!
Customer Review: I use it for everything. Summary: 5 Stars
This is indispensable. Not only does it make incredibly frothy milk, but I've used it for about 3 years for quickly mixing anything, as long as it's not too thick. Light-bodied shakes, vinaigrettes, hot chocolate, fiber supplements, green drinks, lightly whipped cream, etc. You can't use it for stiff whipped cream or meringues, but for anything lighter, it's so much easier than getting out (and cleaning) the big equipment. It's great for quickly mixing anything with water or liquid that would normally clump and take forever to emulsify or dissolve. To clean, just spin it under running water or, if necessary, in a cup of soapy water. Then spin it dry in about a second. I keep it in a drawer next to the sink and use it several times a day. I like it so much I gave 10 of them as gifts last Christmas.
