Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Aerolatte Deluxe Edition Milk Frother with Stand, Stainless Steel

Customer Review: Aerolatte frother, heavy duty version
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the third Aerolatte frother I have owned; the first two performed well, but eventually the switch gave out and the machine became unusable.
This version seems to be built out of heavier-duty metal, and it comes with a stand which looks nice on your counter. It would be even better if there were a way for the stand to be mounted on a wall, to get the frother off the counter.

I use rechargeable NiMH batteries in the frother, and they perform well for quite a few weeks, based on using the machine about 6 times a day to froth skim milk in a mug.

I have tried and bought other brands of frothers; in particular, I own two types of "Bonjour" brand products. They are much inferior, and the one that uses 4 AA batteries is useless for foaming milk in a mug, since it spatters milk all over your front. Nice when you're dressed up in shirt and tie, ready for the office!

Customer Review: Awesome little machine!
Summary: 5 Stars

My sister gave me the Aerolatte, and I thought to myself, "Well, here's a worthless little gizmo she probably found in a Marshall's sales bin." Oh, how wrong I was. My wife and I have used this gadget every single day for over 2 years. It works very, very well. It's such a cool little gadget (which we load with greenbatteries' ultra-low discharge rechargeable NiMH batteries) that we've bought a couple for our friends as well.

3 years ago, when our steamer on our espresso machine broke, I went into a minor depression, then I further exacerbated my mood by whisking milk on a hot stove. Deus ex machina! The aerolatte! Milk in a mug, minute-thirty in the micro, twenty seconds with our aerolatte and badda bing, you can literally SCULPT with the amazing foam this baby gives ya. Go froth and prosper.

Customer Review: aerolatte frother

Once you get how to use this product - it really is fabulous. I got the delux model - as long as you heat up the milk a little bit (if for cappuccino)- not too much, and it is "fresh" - you will have no problem. If you "reuse" milk - it may not work - that is the only issue I had. If I had leftover milk = I'd put it back in the container not realizing this was causing a problem to create foam. I called customer service,I was doing everything correctly and we finally figured it was something to do with the milk itself. They should mention this in the instructions to use fresh milk everytime. So once I started over with a fresh container - no problems. I thoroughly enjoy this product. And recommend it - you can make foam to the thickness desired! really lovely - even use it for regular cups of coffee!

Customer Review: Works Great
Summary: 5 Stars

I had another brand that took four batteries and the mixing part was not a wire whisk but a crimped disk. This one gets higher RPM's and does a better job with 2 AA batteries.

My product, ordered here, seemed to have been opened before and had fingerprints on it but works fine.

I do NOT like the power button/switch. I wish it were a push-in rather than a slide and/or would rather have it towards the top where my thumb is when I use it.

Other than that I am very happy so far. Really froths great and really moves the liquid so you will need lots of room left in your cup or a high cup otherwise the liquid will splash out and make a mess.

This unit has a nice heavy feel. The hanger is nice as well. If It lasts for a while I will be very happy.

Customer Review: This REALLY makes rich, creamy froth!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Until I was researching for a good single-cup coffee maker, I never knew there were little "frothers" on the market, but was fascinated. I love Irish coffee and similar drinks but usually don't have cream to whip for topping. This unit is classy looking and feels solid ... even the stand is attractive enough to leave on the counter.

At first, it seemed like it wasn't really whipping much, then all of a sudden it happened and I had thick, creamy froth ... about triple the amount of milk. Very impressive! It really makes froth rich enough for deserts, even using 2% milk. Exceeded my expectations.

BTW, the Aeropress Coffee Maker I purchased is also a great device ... the combination of these two purchases prompted me to write my first reviews. Way to go, Aeropress!
