Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker with Bonus 350 Micro FiltersCustomer Review: Better than expected Summary: 5 Stars
I am a coffee fanatic, and have never found a good enough coffee maker. The reviews on the Aeropress tempted me to order one, and I am not disappointed! I am still experimenting with the coffee/water ratios, but the coffee is already the best I have had so far. It is really easy to use, even when half awake in the morning. I use the hot water tap from my water cooler, and it seems to be perfect for brewing. I just dump in a scoop of coffee, wet the grounds with a little hot water, then fill up the tube, stir and press. Poof - it is done and great!
I do feel that a finer grind is better as a coarse grind lets the water drain out too fast before brewing.
Good Job, Aeropress!
Customer Review: great cup of coffee Summary: 5 Stars
I was really wanting to purchase a singe serve coffee maker but couldn't justify the cost. After reading the reviews of the Aeropress I decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed. This makes an excellent cup of coffee and is very easy to use. The cleanup is minimal, just push out the grounds and filter and rinse. I grind my beans, put in 2 scoops, poor some hot water, stir for 10 seconds, and then press for another 10 seconds. I have an awesome espresso or americano in about 2 minutes and it tastes 100 times better than the single serve brewers while keeping the cost well under them as well. I would recommend this to every coffee enthusiast. People around my office have also purchased them after trying mine.
Customer Review: Great for the Office Summary: 5 Stars
The office where my husband works keeps coffee on all day but it is undrinkable. My husband bought the aeropress about 5 years ago and has been having a good cup of coffee at work ever since. He uses it with inexpensive canned espresso from the grocery store. It's easy to make, easy to clean, and easy to store in a little box on his desk. The grounds are so compressed after pressing the water through that they just pop out with no mess. Several co-workers have bought one after he's made them a cup in the snack room. Now I'm going to buy one for our daughter to take to college ...it will be easy for her to use in the dorm kitchen, since she's planning to fix her own breakfast and not eat in the cafeteria.
Customer Review: aeropress coffee & espresso maker *****+ Summary: 5 Stars
You will not believe this little wizard. I have stowed my espresso machine and use ONLY this for my latte now. Quick, easy, PERFECT coffee every time! Easy clean. I have purchased several for friends and family and they all love them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Makes perfect espresso or regular coffee. I suggest that you gently stir grounds when you add the water, then place the "press" slightly into the tube to create a vacuum which makes the water remain in the grounds longer and brews a better coffee. After a minute or so press on through. Like Magic every time. It is portable, so takeit with you. Better yet, purchase additional units to put in boat, camper, etc so you never leave home without it.
Customer Review: WONDERFUL! Summary: 5 Stars
After moving to an apartment, my big Italian espresso machine took up too much counter space. While I do enjoy my French press, it's pretty messy to clean up, and of course, doesn't make espresso.
The guy who bought my espresso machine turned me on to the AeroPress. Wow! Just as easy to use as the press, but the coffee is even better and you can make a double espresso shot and/or an Americano.
The best part is the cleanup. When I'm done, I move the whole thing from my mug to the sink dispose-all drain and push the plunger, which shoots the whole puck-o-mess right into the drain. Then, just rinse the stuff off and I'm done. Couldn't be easier.
