Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker with Bonus 350 Micro FiltersCustomer Review: Absolutely the best coffee I have ever drunk! Summary: 5 Stars
I have an espresso machine on my counter, and I drink several cups a day. Well, I USED to drink several cups a day. Now that I have the AeroPress, I treat myself to one large cup of coffee Americano every morning, and I am happy, happy, happy! I top it with my own fresh raw cream. Yes, it uses a lot of coffee for one cup, but what a magnificent cup!
It is satisfying and good enough that I have my coffee fix for the day with that one cup.
I bought the Aerolatte Stainless-Steel Deluxe Edition Frother with Stand, but it doesn't work with raw milk. No froth - just whips the cream into butter. So sad. Still have to use my old machine's steam attachment if I want cappuccino. But I love the AeroPress!
Customer Review: no more Starbucks after this Summary: 5 Stars
If you follow the 175 degrees instructions, you are guaranteed an espresso with LOTS of crema, the rich foamy stuff. Yeah, it's not piping hot coffee, but no more of the usual burned acidic taste. I did not believe I could ever have such great coffee at home! I have grown so accustomed to the great taste, and the taste is so satisfying, that I can no longer bear Starbucks coffee. That swill tastes burned, incompetent, machine made... not worth the $2.50.
I was incredulous but now I affirm this is the best coffee gadget ever.
I am now wondering if there is a way to coax better coffee from my other coffee gadgets, a French press, a Belgian filter.... but life is too short, and I now know how to make great coffee!
Customer Review: Finally I can make a good cup of coffee! Summary: 5 Stars
Bought one a few months ago and have used it everyday since - talk about handy!
It's easy to use (the finer you grind your beans, the more pressure required to "plunge".), consistently makes a smooth, rich cup of coffee and is so quick that you can make GOOD coffee for several people in a short period of time.
Simple to make an espresso that rivals those made at espresso stands. Clean up is quick - we just shoot the coffee puck right into the compost bucket - and storage is simple. Since buying mine I purchased one for both brothers, one sister, step-daughter and step-son, best friend, and a spare for traveling.
The only thing I think is kind of pointless is the "funnel". Really..for what?
Customer Review: i love my aeropress Summary: 5 Stars
i love my aeropress. that's all there is to it.
i was interested in it because i was growing tired of the intensity of my french press. i wanted something lighter and cleaner, but didn't want the garbage of a cheap automatic drip, the expense of a good automatic drip (if such a thing even exists), and chemex pots are too big since i'm the only one who drinks coffee in my house... so that left me with a clever brewer/v60 and an aeropress. i gravitated towards the areopress for it's french press-like first step of steeping the grinds.
i use it almost every day. it's so simple to use, no coffee maker cleans up as quickly or as easily, and the brew is fantastic.
very strong positive review.
Customer Review: Best Coffee Maker Ever Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this coffee maker in Maui on vacation. The store owner said that it was the best ever. It is. I used it in my hotel room, using hot water from the coffee maker, and I've used it at home ever since. It produces coffee without the bitterness of French Press because there is a paper filter. Also, cleanup is a snap. I have one for the office and make coffee there using the instant hot water tap. You add hot water to the pressed coffee to make regular coffee, or use undiluted as espresso. I guess technically it makes Cafe Americano. Regardless, the coffee tastes better from this invention than from any other method I have used. The design is easy to use and clean up after. I wish I had invented this. I love it.
