In my profession, coffee is my lifeblood. But I can't trust someone else to make it for me. I spend long days at sea on a ship and coffee gets me through the hours. I needed a portable easy to clean coffee maker that I could depend on. The AeroPress is perfect! No moving parts, super easy to clean and it works in any cup. All I need is some ground coffee and some hot water and I have a delicious cup of coffee any time of day and little to no clean up. Just pop the grounds and filter out of the tube, put it back in the handy carry case and you're ready for another few hours. The coffee is delicious and it only takes up a few moments of my busy day. This coffee machine is the best. Flavorful coffee without the bitter. This makes one of the better cups of espresso I've ever had. Easy to use, easy to clean. Obviously it's a little more involved than a drip machine, but it makes far better coffee. I use it at school (I keep ground coffee in the freezer) and a hot water machine and makes a perfect cup every time. And actually, I've started bringing it home because it's way better than the drip.
The only thing I'm weary about is that the plunger might start to wear out since it's rubber. I assume that making sure the inside of the tube is wet when using will help prevent wear and tear (that's what she said).

This product solves all the problems I have with a French Press.
French presses are recommended for full extraction without paper filtration. But I find that once the coffee steeps it's not as hot as I like it. Cleaning a french press leaves grounds all over the sink.
The Aeropress offers full extraction and makes delicious hot coffee. You clean it by shooting the puck of grounds right into the trash. You can also throw it in the suitcase for travel. The paper filter is very thin and doesn't interfere with the flavor.
I find it best for making 1-2 cups. Five stars for coffee taste, convenience, durability, and cleanup.

I used to love the one cup coffee maker (not pod) from Hamilton Beach, until it broke on me three times. After some research online, I had decided to try this from a local store (in case I needed to return it). I had concerns over its plastic construction because I don't want anything tasting like plastic, nor do I want toxic coffee.
After trying this, oh boy, what a difference. Coffee flavors remained bold, but less bitter and less acidic. The flavors are smooth and enjoyable; but that's possibly just my personal preference.
I haven't tried it with tea, though. Not sure if it works with tea.
I wish it were cheaper (i.e. $15).

I can honestly say that the best coffee I have made at home has been from my Aeropress. I've made French press side by side with the Aeropress (Americano style) and the Aeropress wins for sure. It is possible that I'm just not very good at making French press though.
In any case, it's a great, inexpensive way to make espresso at home. If you don't drink espresso drinks, don't worry.. an Americano is just espresso with hot water, so it's just like a regular cup of coffee, only it tastes better (in my opinion).
The product itself is designed very well, seems very rugged, cleans up easily, and works exactly as advertised.
