Customer Review: Happy with this Tea Kettle

I received this for Christmas, after researching many of the glass tea kettles available online.
After 3 weeks of daily use, it is holding up just fine, in spite of its delicate appearance. I use it on a ceramic cooktop, but I would question its durability on a gas or electric burner. The "cool" part of the kettle is the handle, which does NOT get even slightly warm. I am also very glad to be able to see both the water level and how the water changes once it has boiled or simmered for a while. There really is truth to the directions of starting with fresh water before brewing a cup or pot of tea. It is amazing to actually see the difference in the water.
A tip for the water saver: use the pre-boiled, cooled water in your kettle to make ice cubes -- the boiling eliminates much of the oxygen in the water that causes cloudy ice.
One note on this kettle: the cute little blue knob on the metal lid needs to be tightened daily.
