I needed an attractive piece of furniture to store my child's toys. This treasure chest fits the bill because it looks nice and holds a good amount of toys. It has held up despite my child's somewhat heavy hand. It has been safe, with features that prevent smashed little fingers. The quality is decent given its cost. The dowel holes were not machined well, and actually went all the way through to the outside surface. I had to do some patchwork to make the holes invisible to cursory inspection. All in all, it was a good purchase, and I do recommend it.
