These cleats are adequate for bare ice, or ice covered with only a small layer of snow. They can get packed with snow reducing the traction if the snow covering the ice is deep. They are easy to install over boots or shoes and stay on reliably. A quick tug on the tab at the heel removes the cleats when they are no longer needed. This is a great item when walking on driveways, sidewalks, and slick parking lots. It helps you grip fantastically in snow and ice. Not good on decks/porches, but otherwise great product. Sturdier than other shoe-grip slide-ons I've used before.Customer Review: Ice Cleats save your bones!

I finally purchased these.....been talking about it for years. A couple yrs ago I slipped on the ice and fractured a disc in my back. These are working great so far! Although it is definitely a 2 handed operation......getting them on and off.Customer Review: Stabilizers Lite Ice Cleats okay

The Stabilizers Lite Ice Cleats may be good for walking around on an icy driveway, however I wasn't terribly impressed with them for winter hiking. They gripped the ice well enough, but they kept slipping off my feet. Another climber in our party had the same experiance. Fortunately for him he was able to recover both of his cleats. I was not as lucky.
