Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Stabilizers Lite Ice Cleats, MCustomer Review: great product Summary: 5 Stars
I live in an area where we don't get snow or ice that often. Alabama never gets a real winter but when we get a few inches or ice it is terrible. I have ice on my steps at home and ice in the parking lot at work. When we had a few inches this last time and I fell in the parking lot at work- I decided I needed this even if only for a couple of times a year lol. I have used it once and it works great. I had a long way to walk with them through my icy parking lot and icy steps this past week and I had no fear and the cleats kept me from falling again lol. I highly recommend this product if you need it only a few times a year or all through winter.
Customer Review: Work Great for Running on Ice Summary: 5 Stars
I've used these running on ice 3 times this winter in Minnesota. They give me great traction on paths that I would not be able to run on otherwise. The only drawback that I see compared to other running cleats is that they don't have replaceable spikes, so when they wear down you would have to replace them. But for the few times a year I will need these, they should last me quite a few years anyway, so they are worth the money. The balls of my feet did get a little sore after running 13 miles in these, but I'm guessing that would be the case with almost any ice cleats and may just be related to the way I run, but I would still recommend these.
Customer Review: Maybe the solution! Summary: 5 Stars
I only had one snowy day after receiving these so didn't really give them much of a trial. They worked good on soft snow and icy pavement, and were easy to put on. They seemed like they would not come off accidentally. The tradeoff compared to less effective cleats is that you really must remove them when you come indoors. That is inconvenient if you are just out shopping or barhopping. I have used half-cleats that provided less traction but I could walk on hard indoor and outdoor surfaces with ease and not doing any damage. These cleats also make you feel a bit wobbly on hard surfaces because the metal studs are mostly near the centerline.
Customer Review: Indispensable this winter Summary: 5 Stars
Love these. I keep them in the messenger bag that I use for work so that they are always with me. I ordered the small size first. I wear various Merrell shoes (women's size 8)which have thick big bottoms. I didn't care for how hard they were to stretch onto my shoes so I sold them to a friend with size 6 feet, and bought size medium which are perfect for me. I have used these on packed-down snowy sidewalks and sheer ice on my job's parking lot. I am sorry that I didn't buy something like this years ago!
Customer Review: Repeat buyer Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second pair [a size larger to fit over boots]. It makes walking in my complex and work parking lots so much easier. I tell everyone to buy them.
